When living alone, if space is limited, the dining table should ideally not exceed 1.2 meters in length. For couples, a 1.4-1.6 meter table is suitable. For families with parents or elderly members living together, a 1.6 meter or larger table is appropriate.

In typical small to medium-sized homes, a 1200mm diameter table is often too large. A custom-made 1140mm diameter round table can seat 8-9 people, but will appear more spacious. While a table with a diameter of 900mm or more can seat many people, it's not advisable to place too many fixed chairs. For example, a 1200mm diameter table with 8 chairs will feel cramped. 4-6 chairs are more suitable. Folding chairs can be used when there are many people, and can be stored in a storage room.
